I am moved by jazz and multi-genre vocalists ranging from Denise Thimes, Peggy Lee, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Ray Charles. Let’s add blues artists too like Son House, Skip James, Lonnie Johnson, and Magic Sam.

You’re also into jazz guitar, who do you like?

As a start, I like Grant Green and Wes Montgomery.

I have studied with Chicago musicians David Bloom, Mike Allemana, Dave Onerdonk, and a secret weapon.
